Alexander Zhu maintains a selective private practice for advanced students and high-profile clients.

Dr. Zhu Assistant Professor of Musicianship and Concert Management at Occidental College, and serves as an on the faculties of Pierce College and the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, teaching composition and piano.

He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Music degree from New England Conservatory.

Dr. Zhu has been a featured presenter at Music Teacher’s National Association (MTNA) and California Association of Professional Music Teacher (CAPMT) conferences, and has published articles in prominent musical publications.

Admission to Dr. Zhu’s studio is competitive and based on an interview and trial lesson. His students have gone on to attend top-level universities, including Columbia University, Princeton University, MIT, UCLA, and USC.
